Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

Our first stop on the cruise was a pretty sweet place called Puerto Vallarta. Well this place was probably one of our favoritos because it had so much to do, and we had a sweet mexican tour guide and happened to be on the same city tour as some other mormones. We ended up having some crazy connections with them actually, small world. Well we were a little afraid of Puerto Vallarta because we were going into this pretty big city by ourselves with my spanglish accent and a few bucks in our pockets. We ended up gettin a tour with a guy drivin a brand new suburban and he spoke pretty dees english. It felt pretty good so we took it and sped off into the jungle! We couldnt believe how americanized the place was, i mean i thought it would be but not like this. The further we went out the more mexican it got so that was nice. We stopped at a few shops but mainly were in the car gettin the run down on puerto vallarta and some of the cool stuff around. I spoke spanish with the guide and really got to brush up on it. I even got the confirmation that they do use the terms "juero", "gabacho", and "bolillo" for white people there, so awesome, they just don't say it when us white people are around... or at least when i was around because i could totally agree with them and then that would be awkward. Anyway, here are a few pictures from our first stop! Bienvenido a Puerto Vallarta...
Here we are with our friend iguana that i found in a tree... actually i paid a guy a couple bucks to put it on my shoulder, same difference. The beautiful scenery... and then you can see the water and the beach in the background.
Once again, really handsome scenery... then the arches in the background.

In front of the ocean, downtown Puerto Vallarta in the background..

Jesus sand... what can i say more. I love mexicans.
Just some of the sweet places to stay.. we didnt stay there boo hoo

We ended up leavin our guide party for a bit to go ziplining! This is us right before makin the helmets look really good.
Oh and i once again found another friend in a tree... no im lying again, but i did put this on my head for fun, good times.. monkeys to, they went bananas!
After the animal house we went through a couple thousand feet of zipline through the jungle, this is Brighton facing her fear! She went upside down a few times to, so hot.
Just another reason why we should retire and live here..Yep, you guessed it, Tom Hanks was here and its totally a real place! Well maybe it was really sunny and i was just starting to go crazy and he probably wasn't there. RUN FOREST!

View from the top of one of the many mountains.
This ended up being the longest of all the days we had off the ship and it was probably one of the funnest that we had! I wish we could stay there longer, but sadly we had to leave and get back on the ship to head off to Mazatlan... we weren't to excited about Mazatlan because we heard a bunch of crappy stuff about it, but we will find out shortly that it really wasn't half bad! Oh just as a little bit oh fun, Walmarts are a little different because there happened to be one right at port, literally 20 feet away from the boat when you get off. Well when you walk into a walmart here in the states, there is always that little mexican section of the store that you can by stuff like La Lechera or Jalapenos, etc. Well when you walk into the walmart there the whole place is the little mexican section!! It is crazy! They even have 3 liter bottles of soda instead of 2. Anyway, good times in Puerto Vallarta.
Next stop... Mazatlan!
