For the past month or so we have been stressed out trying to find someone to take over our apartment contract so we can move in December. For a while we our next-door neighbors were planning on moving in, so we thought we were set and paid our deposit on the new apartment. Life was good. Well a couple weeks ago they informed us that they would not be able to buy ours because they could not sell their own. We were pretty much screwed because it was right before Thanksgiving break and after that there would only be a couple weeks to sell the place.
Well We put up a few adds on the BYU-Idaho website, Brighton e-mailed the entire Elementary Education major network, and our apartment complex said they would let us know if anyone needed an apartment.
From all that hard work we only got a few e-mails saying that the people were possibly interested. Even a group of 3 dudes came over to look at our place ... after an acapella singing group, hmmm. Don't judge.
Well basically if you do everything you can and live right the universe alligns, the world becomes a happier place, and someone calls you at 9:30 p.m. and says, "when can i fill out an application, and would it be alright if i sent you the deposit tonight?"
Good things can happen to good people if they do the right things.
Now we can move all of our crap to our friend's house, go to Vegas for christmas, then come home and move all of our crap downstairs to our apartment.
Yay for moving more than you want in negative degree weather...
