"You're the best!"

I would like to take you on a visually stimulating journey with me now to something that is probably not as funny as i make it out to be.

I'll do my best to explainatize your mind to understand the comedy ...

My roommate has a BRAND NEW girlfriend with whom he likes dearly (thats right he is in the "like you" part of a relationship, whilst i am in the "love you" part ... just to be clear.) Anyway he apparently does a lot of things that are Quote-un-quote "cute" to her. Well whenever he does one of these things she, very fittingly, says "YOU'RE CUTE!".

Well here is the comedic portion of the story, come along ...

His response is something of beauty. A little background perhaps ... maybe just an application into all of our lives; think about a time where someone said something to you, a compliment, a nice gesture, even something mean if you will. Now think of what you said to that person in repsonse.

Well i thought of what i would say and the only thing i could think of that i did was a quick smile and the words "whatever". Maybe for you it was an awkward giggle or an innocent smirk but for the most part, from my experience, that seems appropriate.

Back to the punch line.

This girlfriend keenly says, "YOUR CUTE!" and my roommate finally decides that he will say something back!

Here it comes ...

He turns to her and with all of his lyrical and naratal genious says, "you're the best!"

HAHAHAHAHAH this makes me laugh until this day! I was told this story about a week ago. Now don't judge me for thinking this is hilarious because it is!!

The trick is you have to think of him giving his BRAND NEW girlfriend a playful punch on the arm or even a nudge on the chin while he says, "you're the best!" to her "YOU'RE CUTE!".

Next time someone compliments you and you can't think of anything to say, just confidently say with all the calm glory in the world ...
