I always thought that i would want to have a long engagement until, guess what, i got engaged! I want to be married RIGHT NOW!! Time is flying by though, i think because every day we figure out something else that is annoying about the world around us and we just want to get away from it and go camping, or have our own apartment, or no homework, etc.
My suggestion is ... you ready for this?
Think about doing the "Rexburg get married in a couple months after only knowing each other for a little bit" thing because i feel sorry for anyone that endures more than 2 months of engagement after knowing each other for a year or whatev, sorry to you!
That doesn't mean that you shouldn't get to know the person as much as you can and become their best friend, and learn a lot about them, and get to know their family, and love them and get an answer from your Heavenly Father that she/he is the one. I just mean that you will go crazy being engaged for a long time!! None of this is pointed to those who don't live near each other or are on different tracks because that's got to be hard and my hat is off to you for making things work, i'm just trying to vent my frustration at having to wait this long to get married!!!!!!
i'm done venting. wooo hoooo!
