High Adventure 2009...

Well it has finally come around full circle! 6 years, 30 lbs, 1 full-time mission, and 1 marriage later i survived another High Adventure with the Demeyer Park Ward! We drove 4 hours out into the mountains for this one. Our starting point, where we started the actual hike, was about 6,000 ish ft. For a little F.Y.I we ended our hike at our campground at around 9,000 ft. So we had a group of 9 boys, and 4 leaders (me included, yes that is weird to me still). We hiked around in the White Cloud mountain range which is part of the Rocky mountains. I was just a wee bit worried about my cardiovascular abilities as we started hiking because about a mile in i was ready to walk my butt back outa those mountains. But hey i'm a leader now so i gotta be a good example, so i trucked on! Well i really don't think that me describing this can do much justice to the amazing experience it was and the sheer beauty of the whole hike. So here is photo evidence.

Oh by the way, every high adventure i have been on we have always done something crazy. For example: last time we did flips, etc. into the lake and hiked up some pretty crazy cliffs. Well i'm pretty sure this one tops the lot. I'll put video evidence up for your viewing pleasure! I thought i'd make this a little teaser for the rest of the pictures.. enjoy.

The lake was at 9,945 ft... pretty dang chilly, felt good after almost 4 miles of hiking though!
... and the photo extravaganza begins:

A little of the beautiful scenery... the pictures don't do it justice. My crappy tent and the puddles i slept in after the terrential thunder storm the night before.. super comfortable!

... and somehow we made it out safe and sound, with no injuries and only moderate complaining. Another succesful High Adventure in the books!
